MECA expands its store network through acquisitions in Leksand and Mora

02 June 2014 08:02

MECA is strengthening its network in the Dalarna region of Sweden through the acquisition of two spare-parts stores in Leksand and Mora. The stores will be transferred to MECA on 2 June 2014.

The acquisition of the two stores will strengthen the network and further secure deliveries and the supply chain to workshops in Dalarna, Sweden. MECA has an established customer base among workshops in the region, but has not had local stores in Leksand and Mora in the past. The stores were managed by owner and President Gunnar Sparr and will be transferred to MECA on 2 June.

“The acquisitions in Leksand and Mora will provide us with an excellent opportunity to become even stronger in Dalarna. The stores have been operated professionally and have a personal and well-established customer base, which we will manage. With a strong store network, we will be able to offer better deliveries and supply chain to new and existing customers,” says Krister Duwe, President of MECA Sweden.

“After many years in the industry, I decided to sell my business. I will remain involved with the stores, as will my closest employees who will continue under MECA. With its strong concept, MECA will further develop the business and take very good care of existing customers,” says Gunnar Sparr, former owner/president.
